Could you see yourself becoming the next visionary for the state’s architectural projects?
The role of Government Architect has recently become available and the WA Government is currently taking applications from those interested in the role.
The role would see the lucky candidate providing “design leadership and strategic advice to ensure good design is at the centre of all development and major projects”.
The Government Architect also heads the State Design Review Panel, ensuring Design WA policies are central to all development, and will also support the newly proposed Special Matters Development Assessment Panel, which will consider major developments to support our post-pandemic economic recovery.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in the design and development of METRONET precincts, major infrastructure projects and significant commercial, industrial and residential developments that will create vibrant communities and breathe new life into existing neighbourhoods.
Applications close Wednesday June 17, 2020. More information at http://www.jobs.wa.gov.au/
