Two incidents that took place in Hocking on Monday 27th July are being investigated by police and are believed to be linked.
A white Toyota Hilux rolled over on East Road at around 5.30pm, the male driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, then fled the scene on foot. Police are urging a particular member of the public to come forward, as they had attempted to chase down the driver.
Police were later called to a house fire on Welstead Way, also in Hocking at around 7.10pm. The fire is being treated as suspicious and the offender(s) are believed to have stolen, a grey coloured 2017 Grand Jeep Cherokee, WA registration 1GLL323, from the property.
The occupants were not home at the time of the fire, and a bedroom was badly damaged, to an estimate of $100,000.
