Those seeking mental health consultation are warned against visiting a North Fremantle man who has been masquerading as a psychology professional.
Tyson John Vacher, aka Dr John Vacher and trading as John Vacher Psychology, has been making false or misleading statements on his website jvpsychology.com regarding his experience and qualifications.
Mr Vacher has stated on his website that he is a member of the Australian Counsellors’ Association and has 10 years’ experience, neither of which is true while comments on other websites also claimed he has a PhD and a qualification from the University of Southern Queensland, a claim which is also not true.
Perhaps the most perplexing claim by the 23-year-old is that he claims to have ’10 years experience’.
It’s not Mr Vacher’s first time in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, as in 2017 he was prosecuted by Consumer Protections for accepting payments to supply waiters for four functions under his former company Black Tie Waters.
The waiters never showed up.
