Northam Health Campus has officially doubled it’s operating theatre capacity as part of the State Governments $42 million dollar investment in improving the regional hospital.
In addition to the two operating theatres, the Campus also unveiled a refurbished recovery suite and a central sterile services department fitted with high-tech equipment.
Western Australian Country Health Service clinicians have already performed multiple procedures in the theatres in line with the staged approach to recommencing elective surgeries following a temporary reduction as part of WA Health’s COVID-19 response.
The upgrades mean that local residents will no longer need to travel intrastate for the best quality health care.
