Problem and Opportunity Statements to drive investment and jobs in WA

Announced today, the WA State Government announced the new Problem and Opportunity Statements initiative to drive investment and support WA jobs.

The Market-led Proposals policy allows the Government to provide focused opportunities for industry to respond with innovative solutions that stimulate the economy and create jobs for Western Australians. The State Government is calling for private sector offers to provide alternative accommodation options for Landgate in Midland, and/or acquire the Landgate building for consideration. The State Government is committed to retaining a public sector presence in Midland.

The WA Government will be issuing a series of Problem and Opportunity Statements over the coming weeks that cover a range of issues across various sectors, including health, culture and arts, tourism, and the environment.

The first Problem and Opportunity Statement was today released to industry, calling for innovative solutions for the future of the current Landgate building in Midland and accommodation options for the public sector in the Midland area.

Proposals for the Landgate opportunity are invited to be submitted until September 11, 2020 and will be assessed against the MLP Policy criteria.
